Tax Havens 1
These three pieces were part of a 3D installation for a project I did in April 2019. Tax Havens 1 is an image of a £10,750,000.00 luxury apartment for sale on the north side of the Thames between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. The image was taken from the Internet and I used Photoshop to place my own image looking into the flat. Below I scanned the pricelist and the floor plans for the flat. Over this I have used the wording from the glossy brochure
to describe the benefits and comforts of living in such a flat juxtaposed against verbal images of homeless people sleeping in the streets of London.
Sleep Tax Havens Monopoly
I created a new version of Monopoly by substituting the original properties with actual properties that were for sale in various tax havens around the world. I created new property cards as well as community chest and chance cards. I used the original money but increased the value to reflect the cost of these properties.
Sleep Tax Havens 3 - I Love London
On a sleeping bag I have added the words I love London - a red heart symbolizes the word love.
